1-9 takes all Hampshire breeders back into history when Hampshire's were the dominating breed I know a few would like to put a bullet in her head but we have a great deal of faith in this breeding. 1-9 is very meaty and has feet that can take any type of environment. She has big vulva and 12 great nipples (7-5). She is clean headed ,youthful and balanced. A very tall fronted gilt that will transmit her good qualities. If you do not have Boar studs coming to look at your boar prospects, Buy 1-9 and breed her to any Purebred Hampshire boar in a Stud and you soon will. There are plenty of small, early maturing Hampshire boars out there that need her Meatiness and soundness. Breeding small to small what make it in the future boys.

2-7 is a full of muscle plain and simple but she still has a big foot , bone. Her mother is the 18-7 sow pictured in the Dec Brood sow issue. If you are a show pig enthusiast that likes to buy gilts and re-sell them at Expo or STC this gilt will have tremendous re-sale value regardless if where a judge places her. She will stick out at a show because of her tremendous mass, volume and huge top and but. She also has breeding value because of her big vulva and perfect underline. |

This litter of Blue-butts has 11 saleable pigs. Farm visitors have thought they were sired by Detox the way they look. They are sired by our Purebred Yorkshire Herd Boar we call Funny Bone. He was Reserve and Top selling boar at Illinois last August. We think the world of him and would only trade him for 1 Yorkshire boar shown last year. Funny bone has stamped his pigs with bone, structure and a great show ring look. 6-8 combines Honor Him pure muscle with bone, super hip and levelness of Funny Bone. This gilt and her littermate will be a lot of fun to show all summer long. |

Berkshire Litter Farrowed 12-1-09
Sire: PSSS Major Girth Dam : PSSS Sir Thomas X PSSS Male Ego
Tremendous litter of Berkshire hogs. We are selling the 3-6 Gilt and the 3-2 Boar is for Sale privately We have a number of Berkshire hogs and use them in our Terminal boar recipe that we sell throughout the Midwest. We have bred our berks to meaty and fast growing. When we cross them with a Hamp x York sow we get a mostly white boar that is sound, tough, has lots of high quality meat and grows fast. There is only a few Major Girth pigs farrowed this winter but my pigs are very special. Talk about bone, foot size and level tops they have it. Littermate barrows my son will show and they will compete with the Detox cross barrows. Littermate gilt to these pigs mother was Champion Carcass at our fair. She weighed 290 Lbs at 162 days age cut 9.95 loin with .55 fat and perfect quality score. |

Purebred Hampshire Gilt 8-7 Farrowed 1-1-10
Vaun 36-14 x 7-6 Wide Belt 22-6 x 13-10 Foundation sow Earnhart Line
Dam was sold in Dec Bred sow sale to Wayne Beyer in Minnesota but with the winter weather there it was decided to farrow her here. She is a great young sow that farrowed 15 and raised 11 and all 11 pigs are good sellable. 8-7 is the most complete gilt in the sale. She has a great future for whomever buys her either in the showring or farrowing crate. Ideal feet and legs, she has the meaty, level hip and square hock the Hampshire breed needs more of. Her bonework is very flat and heavy but still her maturity is right for her age. Her muscle is starting to explode at 50 days of age. Her grandmother just farrowed her 15nth litter at 8 years of age. She has 3 brothers that will be in studs by summers end. These Jan gilts were all held of Feed and water 24 hrs to help picture taking. These 5 gilts took 45 min to take all pics. |

Dam is our best generating young sow who in her first litter raised the top selling gilt in Fall Prospect sale and Also young exciting Herd Boar Honor and Courage. She farrowed 6 pigs via frozen semen from Vaun 36-14. This genetic combination is why Vaun was brought home from Indiana. This sale is the only chance you will have to purchase direct daughters of Vaun as no semen has been sold on him. He is now in Ohio and we plan to use semen we have frozen. I thought with Honor Him's pure muscle combined with Vaunt's extreme correctness, soundness, massive bone, and ideal hip and hock , we could make something special. With this litter of hogs we have done just that. 10-4 is the only gilt in this litter and I am only selling her because there is a littermate boar that may be one of the very best ever. Even though 10-4 is only 40 days old in this picture look at her huge rib, deep body and square hip and hock. Maturity is perfect and she will look her best at 6 months of age. Her muscle is really starting to come. I love her big feet and flat bone. We have already sold one littermate boar and the other one will be the hot one this spring and summer. |
